Graduation Night
Graduation night for the leaving cert and leaving cert applied students (Year 2) will be held Thursday night, May 27th.

Girls Active
Girls participating in the Girls Active program took part in a friendly Basketball match with the participants of girls active from Grange Vocational school recently. An enjoyable time was had by everyone involved in the game. Thanks to Grange students and to the Girls Active co-ordinators for organising the event.
The Girls Active Boxercise classed have concluded. A really enjoyable time was had by all involved. Thanks to Sue McGowan for providing the games.

Gaisce
Cáelan O Dowd, Stephen O Dowd and Keeran Cawley enjoyed a weekend camping and canoeing at Lough Allen. This was to complete the adventure section of their Bronze Gaisce award. Thanks to the staff of the Lough Allen Adventure Centre for a brilliant time.

Lough Key Forest Park
The Leaving cert Biology class went on an Ecology field trip to the Lough Key Forest Park on the 28th of April. They studied the woodland habitat and had a wonderful opportunity to use the different pieces of equipment there. A big thank you to the co-ordinators at the park.

2nd Year C.S.P.E School Trip.
On Friday the 14th of May the 2nd year C.S.P.E class travelled to the Arigna mines in co. Roscommon. This was the culmination of a fundraising campaign within the school for the developing world . The tour will raise awareness within the class of fossil fuels and renewable 'green' energy. Thanks to all who gave generously to the campaign. Two local charities will benefit greatly from your efforts.

French Week in Corran College
The first to fifth years who study French are busy organising a French week in the school for next week. Throughout the week, each lunchtime there will be French cuisine, games, music and sport. The students are erecting a stand to raise awareness of the French culture a French movie "the Class" will screen everyday. Bonne Chance to all concerned and "Vivre La France"!

Golden Silk F1 team

Golden Silk, Corran College's 2010 F1 entry will take part in the regional final on Thursday 11th March.
